Salerno Summer Project

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

Last Week

We're here in the middle of our last week sharing on campus, and God is still at work. All of us on project have been utterly amazed at the number of people that have come to know Christ these past 3 weeks. As a result, our focus for this last week has shifted from strictly evangelism to one of discipleship. It is so vital that these precious students who have trusted in Christ are equipped to grow in their relationship with Christ so that they don't fall through the cracks during the rest of the summer. This gives the team the opportunity to follow up with our new brothers and sisters and be encouraged at what the Lord has done.

In closing, here is a copy of a text message sent to a project member from an Italian Student who accepted Christ today:

"I'll never be able to find the right words to thank you for what you did to me. You're amazing and I'll never forget you...You have a gift. You've met Jesus, and I'm honored that I could share it with you, I feel amazing now, and this is just the beginning. Thanks a lot. Love, your sister Antonella."

"
We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ." - Colossians 1:28

Quote of the Day

"God did not give us a spirit of humidity."

Great to hear your news of Italian students turning to Christ. Thank you for being so clear about the gospel (as in your survey), for challenging students to make a decision, for sharing your news with the rest of us - and for coming to Europe!
